I began a series of sculptures in 2019 of California birds using locally sourced materials only (driftwood from Torrance beach, used books from Goodwill). I juxtaposed those birds with provocative book titles to create commentary and initiate dialog on how policy changes enacted in DC can affect the livelihood of our local species.
